George Rankin
George has worked for the Scottish Health Service as an Architect with the CSA Building Division and then for the Wessex Regional Health Authority. Before privatisation of the Practice, George left the NHS to become Divisional Director with Jackson Greenen Down & Partners in Winchester, responsible for their wide range of health projects, including Gosport Community Hospital.
Due to workload reductions in 1991, he left to set up a Consultancy practice based in Studio Four, Romsey. With a varied workload, including private dwellings and extensive healthcare projects, the Practice developed steadily and led to the incorporation into Studio Four Architects Ltd in 1992.
George has an extensive and widely-respected knowledge of healthcare design, but experience also in a wide range of other sectors. Whilst continuing his role as a director, he now works on a part-time basis for the Practice.
