Castle Court School
Studio Four Architects were appointed in September 2002 to prepare a vision for the future development of the school. Sited in the wooded landscaped grounds of the Giorgian main building, the key brief elements were to remove dining from the existing stairway, replace all existing temporary classrooms and enhance music, technology and the internal sports facilities, but all within the planning restrictions of the Green Belt.
With the completion of the feasability study, we were now moving on to the detail Planning stage. In the meantime, to improve the Technical and Design classroom, we have carried out a small internal works project vastly increasing the useable area.
The detail design of the main project is well under way and an application is expected Summer 2006.
