New Forest Birthing Centre
The recently completed New Forest Birth Centre at Ashurst Hospital is an eight bed, midwife led maternity facility comprising two birth rooms with birthing pools, a “drop in” room and team base located in the former Snowdon House.
The project was completed in August 2008 at a cost of £1.2m. Built by Brazier under the “Procure 21” contract, it provides a less acute environment and more relaxing environment for mothers in the Southampton and New Forest area.
