Sustainability

We believe that sustainability is now one of the most important issues in building design. Close co-operation with the Client and other members of the design team, from the earliest stages of a project, is key to achieving this successfully.

Studio Four have completed the BRE’s Assessors Course for BREEAM Healthcare and Education, and are involved with an increasing number of schemes that use low-carbon systems including solar thermal panels, air-source heat pumps and biomass boilers. We have also incorporated rainwater harvesting, bat roosting facilities, flood protection/attenuation into other schemes.

The Practice has had an Environmental Management System in place since January 2010.
