Hampshire Hospitals Heart Centre, Official Opening

A year after going live, the Heart Centre held its official opening, with the ribbon being cut by The Lord-Lieutenant of Hampshire, Nigel Atkinson Esq.

In that year, it has treated more than 2,700 patients, including over 200 emergency procedures, in the two new Catheterisation laboratories.

Studio Four designed it as a hybrid modular building, with its own emergency ambulance entrance, to save vital minutes when the paramedics know it’s what the patient needs.

Dr Robert Bowers, the department consultant that lead the clinical team to get all he could within the project, faced the BBC and many other media companies, saying that ‘he believes this is a world class cardiac facility.’
