About
Studio Four Architects is a RIBA chartered; award winning, architectural practice of around 30 staff based predominantly in Hampshire. Our team work across a very wide variety of sectors and whilst specialising in healthcare have considerable experience in many others.
Our ethos is ‘ownership’. We are hands-on and much prefer to see our designs through from an idea to “paper” and to the built form. Problem-solving in a creative way. We manage every part of the process and deliver what we say we will, leading the design team through all the RIBA Stages, from conception to completion and beyond.
We pride ourselves on producing quality architecture that lasts and provide a service that meets and exceeds our client’s expectations.
Our main bases are in Romsey and Winchester and whilst the majority of our work is in southern England, we deliver projects right across the UK and occasionally even further afield.
Projects include healthcare, education, residential, leisure, commercial, historic, emergency services, church, marine, industrial and community-based schemes.

Sustainability at Studio Four
'‘Sustainability’ covers a broad range of approaches and measures, especially within the construction industry and when considering projects of different sectors and scales.
At Studio Four we choose to situate sustainable thinking centrally within the running of our projects and business operations. We do this by:
-
Considering sustainable applications from across different environmental design practices on a project-by-project basis. Evaluating the most sustainable approach to both the physical and operational context of a project. Refer to our 'Sustainable Design and Your Project' document for more information.
-
Our commitment to review, monitor and improve our business operations. This has included amongst other actions, the implementation of our 'Environmental Management System' (seeking accreditation under ISO 14001) and refurbishment works to reduce the energy requirements of our office.
-
Investing in staff training. Supporting staff in their personal areas of interest, including Passivhaus design, conservation, sustainable design, and higher education courses.
CPD’s (continued professional development) and internal training is regularly offered to all members of staff, ensuring our practices are in line with the latest standards and in consideration of current technologies and materials.
