Royal Hampshire County Hospital, Winchester

Planning Consent has recently been obtained for an extension to the Royal Hampshire County Hospital in Winchester, to provide a new Urgent Treatment Centre (UTC). This facility will ease pressure on the existing Emergency Department as part of the NHS's Urgent and Emergency Care plan. The extension is raised up at the same level as the ED, which also allow ambulance parking below. The design incorporates Modern Methods of Construction and can also accommodate future upwards expansion. Work is due to start in site in early 2026.
