Works completed on site in 2024 to create a new single storey contemporary extension to an existing dwelling.

The existing property is situated within the New Forest National Park, and having been recently built, was not subject to the 30% extension rule.
We therefore initially submitted a ‘permitted development’ application for a rear extension which complied with PD rules. Having obtained this we then submitted our preferred proposal which created the same amount of new floor area, but created a better design and layout for the client and site.

The proposal creates a modern kitchen dining and family space with better access and views to the extensive garden and site beyond. The proposal also involves significant internal reconfiguration and refurbishment to create a boot room, utility and play room, as well as the creation of a new pantry.
