Planning permission has been granted to extend an existing chalet bungalow. The client’s brief involved greatly improving the thermal performance of the building, which will require complete over-cladding and new/additional insulation to roof spaces and dormer walls. Internally, a new living/kitchen arrangement was designed with new master bedroom over to take advantage of views down the private garden.
28 solar panels are proposed to the roof, which have been designed to be a prominent feature to celebrate the generating and storage of electricity on site.
